Privacy
What we do with your personal data.
Sofielle Global collects personal data from two groups: Filipino workers applying for overseas employment, and employers enquiring about recruitment. This notice sets out what we hold, why we hold it, who receives it, how long we keep it and what you can require of us. It is written to the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
Last reviewed 5 September 2026. Where this notice and any consent you have signed differ, the document you signed governs your own data.
Who holds your data
The personal information controller.
Sofielle International Recruitment Solutions Corporation, a recruitment and deployment agency licensed by the Department of Migrant Workers under Licence No. DMW-043-LB-07242026-PL, trading as Sofielle Global, is the personal information controller for everything described here.

What we collect
Only what the route actually needs.
We do not buy contact lists, and we do not collect data about you from anywhere other than you, the employer considering you, and the institutions that issued your certificates — which we verify at source, with your consent, because an employer is entitled to rely on them.
If you apply for work
| What | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Name, email address and phone number | To identify you and to reply |
| City or province | Corridors and job orders differ by region |
| Industry or trade you are applying for | To match you against open job orders rather than all of them |
| Certification held, and where you trained | Employers and destination visa rules require evidence of it |
| Your CV or résumé | Experience is what an employer shortlists on, and it is verified before you are presented |
| Anything you write in the message field | So you can tell us what a form does not ask |
Later in the process, lawful deployment requires more: passport details, the results of a medical examination at a DMW-accredited clinic, NBI clearance and the documents your destination demands. We collect those only once a specific job order is in play, we tell you what each one is for at the time, and some of them are sensitive personal information under the Data Privacy Act, handled accordingly.
If you enquire as an employer
| What | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Your name and email address | To identify you and to reply |
| Your organisation and country | The corridor determines the rules that apply |
| The role and headcount you are asking about | To scope what we would be recruiting against |
| Your message | To answer the question you actually asked |
Who receives it
Where your data goes, and no further.
We do not sell personal data, we do not trade it, and we do not disclose it for anyone’s marketing.
| Recipient | What they get, and when |
|---|---|
| Prospective employers and their accepting or support organisations | An applicant's profile and qualifications, on the corridor they applied for, with their consent |
| Philippine government | The Department of Migrant Workers, the Migrant Workers Office at post, and OWWA, where lawful deployment requires it |
| Destination government | Immigration and labour authorities in the destination, as the visa or permit application requires |
| Our service providers | Hosting, database and file storage, and email delivery — bound to act only on our instructions |
| Google Analytics | Website usage only. No name, email address, CV or application content is ever sent to it |
An applicant’s individual profile reaches an employer only after that employer has a service agreement with us and the applicant has consented. Before that stage we describe a cohort to employers in aggregate — certification held, experience bands, settings worked — which identifies nobody.
Leaving the Philippines
Overseas work means overseas transfer.
We place Filipino workers with employers abroad, so an application that goes anywhere necessarily crosses a border. Applicant data is transferred to employers and authorities in the destination country — currently Japan, Czechia and Ireland — and our hosting and email providers may store data on servers outside the Philippines.
Those countries do not all offer the protections the Data Privacy Act gives you at home. We remain accountable for your data after it leaves: we transfer only what the route requires, only to a recipient that needs it, and our contracts require them to protect it. Consenting to an application is consenting to that transfer, and you can withdraw it.
How long we keep it
For as long as it is doing something for you.
We keep an application while we are actively considering you for job orders, and we review what we hold rather than letting a CV sit against nothing. Ask us to delete it and we will, unless a law requires us to keep a record — deployment documents in particular carry retention periods set by the Philippine government, not by us, and we will tell you which those are and how long they run.
Employer enquiries are kept while we are in contact about the roles you asked about, and deleted on request.
Your rights
What you can require of us.
The Data Privacy Act gives you these rights over your own data. Exercising any of them is free, and it will never affect how we treat your application.
| Right | What it means |
|---|---|
| To be informed | To know we hold your data and what we do with it |
| To access | To get a copy of what we hold about you |
| To correct | To have anything inaccurate or incomplete put right |
| To object | To refuse processing, including withdrawing a consent you already gave |
| To erasure or blocking | To have your data removed from our systems where no law requires us to keep it |
| To data portability | To receive your data in a usable electronic form |
| To damages | To be compensated for harm caused by mishandling of your data |
Write to info@sofielleglobal.com and we will confirm your identity before acting, so that nobody else can use these rights against you. If we get it wrong you may complain to the National Privacy Commission, whether or not you have raised it with us first — though we would rather you gave us the chance.
Cookies and analytics
What this website itself collects.
This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages get read. It sets cookies in your browser and reports your approximate location, device and the pages you view. It receives no name, email address, CV or application content — those go to our own systems, never to Google.
You can stop it: browsers can block cookies, and Google publishes an opt-out add-on that works across every site using Analytics. Blocking it costs you nothing here — every page and both forms work exactly the same.
Ask us
Any question about your own data, answered by the office that holds it.
Email info@sofielleglobal.com or call the Cebu office on +63 324 020 653. If you would rather ask before you apply, that is a perfectly reasonable thing to do.
